    1) In 2007, Australia and East Timor agreed on an agreement establishing permanent maritime boundaries between the two countries for the equitable sharing of oil resources in the Timor Sea.
    2) East Timor is a source country and for men, women and children victims of forced labor and forced prostitution. Some efforts were made nevertheless: a bill, not finalized, outlines procedures for screening potential trafficking victims.
